With local success in the Lomas corridor of Nob Hill, Humble Coffee Company finds its way to the heart of Albuquerque in the Downtown neighborhood. Humble's second location inhabits the old 1940's Sears building. Located at 5th and Central, Humble is doing its small part in reinvigorating Downtown's main Central corridor providing locals as well as visiting tourists a place to stop, relax, and enjoy a cup of fine coffee.
The interior design features wood finishes and details to offset clean white walls. Colors highlight the space and create a joyful, comfortable, and warm interior experience for visitors to sip their drinks while engaging in conversation, studying, or just enjoying the day. Exposed structure sits beyond the clean walls above, creating visual interest in this modern scheme while opening overhead heights up to twenty feet. The space feels open and grand, but guests are welcomed at the expansive bar where a ceiling structure drops to create a moment of intimacy between what is above and what is below. Large custom barn doors shape the entrance as well as separate the coffee shop from the lobby that is used for tenants of the upper floors.
Custom tables of various types fill the space allowing for a variety of gathering - ranging from studious individuals, to clubs and organizations - with some splendid coffee easily accessible. Seating extends out to the front patio, where existing walls and custom raised garden beds create a separation from the public street and sidewalk.
